Multimedia Industry Leaders Support Art Teco II

Autodesk, Apple, Intel, Kaleida Labs, Macromedia
Among Corporate Sponsors of June Event

April 20, 1995 -- ORINDA, CA -- Momentum is building for Art Teco II, the
Second Annual United Developers Festival, to be hosted by Morph's Outpost
on the Digital Frontier, the technical publication for multimedia
pioneers. This year's event takes place at San Francisco's Fort Mason
Center June 22, 23 & 24

Multimedia developers from all over the country will get together for three
days of intense technical sessions on multimedia development, and enjoy
some legendary parties with fellow industry elite.

Autodesk has signed on to be the Tera Sponsor of Art Teco II. There will be
a full day of Autodesk-specific sessions, along with exhibits and Pioneer
Chuck Wagon Bar-B-Que to kick off the conference's extracurricular
activities. Apple, Intel and Macromedia are Giga Sponsors, and
Equilibrium, Kaleida Labs, Morrison & Foerster, and ULead Systems are
among the many Mega Sponsors.

"The industry support has been tremendous to this point," said Tim
Bigoness, conference director. "We've heard from the industry that
creating an intimate, yet 'quality' venue for people to communicate is
something that has been missing from many other multimedia conferences and
trade shows. Plus we throw the best parties."

The price for attending the entire three-day event is $495. The early-bird
registration fee is $295, which is only good until May 15.

The theme for this year's Art Teco is Digital Frontier Days, with
multimedia exhibits and an atmosphere akin to that of a State Fair.
Multimedia industry pundits will participate in conference sessions to
converse on all aspects of interactive development, from interactive
Storytelling to Cross-Platform Authoring Tools.

Attendees will have an opportunity to interface with industry leaders on
such issues as authoring, creation of assets, marketing and distribution,
and other topics related to the growth of multimedia.

The Second Annual "Golden Lobes" award will be given to outstanding
multimedia production tools as voted on by the interactive developer
community. Last year's winners included Adobe, Macromedia, Autodesk, and
Creative Labs.

Confirmed speakers to date include; Joe Fantuzzi, Autodesk; John Skull, PF
Magic; Paul Saffo, Institute for the Future; Bill Tullis, Turner Broadcast
System; Dov Jacobson, Turner Interactive; Dan Mapes, Cyberlab 7; Michael
Lewis, L2 Communications; Caitlin Buchman, Film Strategies; John Ware,
Macromedia; Stan Mo, Intel; and others to be announced.
