INTERGRAPH, OMNICOMP GRAPHICS TEAM-UP TO OFFER 3D CAD SOLUTIONS

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April. 24, 1995 -- Intergraph Software Solutions (ISS)
and Omnicomp Graphics Corporation today announced a strategic original
equipment manufacturer agreement (OEM), that allows Omnicomp to bundle
Intergraph's MOGLE 2.0 software accelerator with their 3DEMON graphics
accelerator card." The MicroStation OpenGL Engine (MOGLE) is a
multithreaded OpenGL program that works with optimized hardware drivers to
accelerate MicroStation graphics performance, the general purpose 2D/3D
drafting and design software developed by Bentley Systems Inc. Priced at
$200 per license, MOGLE makes it possible for every MicroStation user
running on Microsoft's Windows NT to afford and benefit from significantly
improved graphics performance.

"Intergraph's visualization software is positioned to take advantage of the
growing availability and popularity of high- performance, OpenGL graphics
accelerators, such as Omnicomp's 3DEMON," said Gene Grindstaff, executive
manager of the ISS Visualization Product Center.

"The combination of MOGLE and the 3DEMON line of 3D accelerators for OpenGL
provide a powerful solution for CAD applications, such as MicroStation
when running onWindows NT," Grindstaff said. Omnicomp continues a 12-year
history of leading- edge computer graphics hardware with the 3DEMON, which
is based on the 3Dlabs' GLINT chip, a finalist in Byte Magazine's "Best of
Comdex Fall '94" award. The 3DEMON has emerged as an early leader in the
fast-growing 3D marketplace.

"Omnicomp is very pleased to team with Intergraph in support of the 3D CAD
market. The hardware acceleration of the Omnicomp 3DEMON, combined with
the enhanced interface of Intergraph's MOGLE 2.0, provides a very high
performance, low cost solution for MicroStation users. The new
price/performance standard will enable a greater number of users to enjoy
a higher level of productivity previously available only in a workstation
environment," says Huling H. Parker, president, Omnicomp Graphics
Corporation.

OpenGL and Windows NT

"OpenGL is a 3D graphics library designed specifically for the types of
tasks that a MicroStation user performs, such as creating and displaying
elements, renderings, wire meshes and smooth-shaded views," said
Grindstaff. "OpenGL is a more efficient graphics interface than Windows
and combined with the unique features of MOGLE 2.0 optimizes
MicroStation's graphics performance for both 2D and 3D tasks."

"MOGLE's processing power is boosted through the multiprocessing
capabilities of Windows NT. MOGLE 2.0 is a multithreaded application, and
application threads can be processed simultaneously on systems using
multiple processors. The result is a more efficient use of hardware,
further reducing display time," Grindstaff said. "This scaleable
architecture yields up to 40 percent improvements in dual processors
systems over single processor systems. OpenGL graphics hardware is not
required to realize performance improvements MOGLE can make, but the best
performance improvements will be obtained on dual processor OpenGL
systems."

The 3DEMON provides workstation-class 3D graphics performance and 2D
graphical user interface (GUI) acceleration using the GLINT 300SX and
300TX 3D processors from 3Dlabs. Available in configurations of up to 8MB
display memory and 16MB local buffer storage, the 3DEMON combines high
resolution and accelerated rendering performance required by professional
MicroStation users.

Intergraph and 3Dlabs previously announced a Strategic Alliance to Promote
3D Visualization

In December 1994, Intergraph Software Solutions and 3Dlabs Incorporated
announced a strategic alliance to develop, support and promote 3D
visualization applications on GLINT-based systems. GLINT is the 3Dlabs
OpenGL graphics processor, developed by 3Dlabs, that enhances performance
of visualization applications, such as Intergraph's software accelerator,
MOGLE, and walk- through application, DesignReview. "The work done with
3Dlabs and our MOGLE and DesignReview products proves the stability and
acceptance of the tools and our platform strategy", said Grindstaff.

Intergraph OpenGL Program Increases Graphics Performance Up To 11,000
Percent

On February 1, 1995, Intergraph Software Solutions announced MOGLE
providing increases in MicroStation graphics performance up to 110 times
under Microsoft Windows NT 3.5. "With its increased functionality and
performance, MOGLE 2.0 can benefit virtually every copy of MicroStation,"
said Grindstaff.
