INTERGRAPH ANNOUNCES INWATER FOR WATER DISTRIBUTION NETWORK MODELING

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 28, 1995 -- Intergraph Software Solutions (ISS)
today announces InWater an integrated application for water resources
professionals in public and private industry sectors. InWater provides
interactive graphics design and modeling for water distribution networks
with data transfer to and from industry standard analysis engines such as
KYPIPE. Priced at $4,000 (U. S. list), InWater is available now for DOS,
Microsoft Windows and Windows NT operating systems.

InWater provides an easy-to-use interface for setup, review and
presentation of hydraulic analysis. The interface for KYPIPE was designed
in cooperation with Dr. Don J. Wood of KY Pipe/FlowNet Systems (KPFS) and
developer of KYPIPE. In March 1995, Intergraph and KPFS signed a joint
agreement dedicated to the promotion, sale and support of InWater and
KYPIPE. As part of this strategic alliance, each InWater purchase includes
the 500-pipe version of KYPIPE. Intergraph and KPFS will work together to
ensure coordination and compatibility of future enhancements to the
InWater and KYPIPE products.

"We designed InWater to meet the requirements of professionals involved in
either the design of new water distribution systems or the expansion of
existing systems," said Dr. Tony Crawford, vice president of ISS's AEC
Product Center. "Our alliance with KPFS enables us to provide water
resources engineers with an integrated graphics modeling and analysis
solution one that automates the design process and provides a more
efficient means to verify and improve network designs".

InWater Generates Intelligent Models

With InWater, models can be created interactively or by importing data from
ASCII files. Existing computer-aided design (CAD) graphics and scanned
maps can be incorporated into intelligent models through InWater's generic
graphics converter. Associative models make element manipulations easy and
significantly reduce time spent on modifications. To enhance decision
making, the software processes ASCII data from analytical third-party
models and displays the results graphically.

The data analysis and evaluation features in InWater can help ensure
accuracy. Users can evaluate an entire network or a selected portion, then
display the analysis results as color- coded models or contours. A key
aspect of InWater is the ability to support KYPIPE's extended period
simulations (EPS). Alternative flow scenarios can be modeled and edited
with results displayed on-screen or produced automatically as plots and
charts, enabling users to make changes quickly and produce a more accurate
network design.

InWater supports a full set of functionality for WYSIWYG annotation, color
mapping, contouring and profiling. The software provides capabilities for
creating data queries, and includes Intergraph's DraftWorks for enhanced
production of drawings and customized reports.

Intergraph believes InWater is the ideal solution for analyzing, modeling
and documenting pipe distribution systems. Its powerful and flexible
features enable users to graphically produce high-quality project results
and efficiently maintain, evaluate and manage the distribution of water.

KPFS Background Information

KY Pipe/FlowNet Systems is a professional organization located in
Lexington, Ky., and established especially for development and marketing
of advanced pipe network analysis tools. KYPIPE, the most widely used
hydraulic analysis engine worldwide, carries out simulations of
steady-state pressure and flow in pipe distribution systems as well as
extended period simulations of system operations.
