Frontier Technologies Licenses RSA Security Software

SAN JOSE, Calif.--April 10, 1995--Frontier Technologies Corporation and RSA
Data Security announced today that Frontier Technologies has licensed RSA
data encryption technology, for inclusion in several Frontier Technologies
products. The first products to include RSA technology will be Frontier's
new SuperWeb secure World Wide Web server, announced here at the Internet
World trade show, and the next release of Frontier's popular Internet
access product, SuperHighway Access.

"Frontier Technologies today emerges as a serious player in the Internet
commerce market," said Dr. Prakash Ambegaonkar, Frontier Technologies
president. "The Internet is growing extremely quickly worldwide, and
almost any corporation can benefit from marketing their products and
services on the Internet. However, concerns about security as well as the
complexities of setting up an Internet presence have proven to be barriers
to electronic commerce. The combination of Frontier Technologies'
easy-to-use products and RSA's data encryption technology will enable
companies to take full advantage of the Internet."

Frontier Technologies' SuperWeb and SuperHighway Access will support the
Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (S-HTTP) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
protocol, both of which use the RSA algorithms.

"Frontier Technologies has long been a leader in the TCP/IP and
internetworking markets," said Jim Bidzos, president of RSA Data Security.
"They're well positioned to take this expertise into the exploding market
of RSA-secured electronic commerce."
