IBM TEAMS WITH MILLER FREEMAN, INC. FOR OS/2 WORLD CONFERENCE AND
EXHIBITION

IBM Managers Are Featured Speakers, Top Developers/Technical Staff Will
Teach Classes and Seminars

San Francisco -- April 26, 1995 -- Miller Freeman, Inc. announced today
that more than 45 top developers and technical experts from International
Business Machines Corporation (IBM) will teach classes at the OS/2 World
Conference & Exhibition. Following the highly successful release of OS/2
Warp, IBM has increased its participation in the second annual independent
conference devoted exclusively to the OS/2 operating system, to be held
from July 17 - 20 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

IBM involvement in the conference will include a keynote address by John W.
Thompson, general manager for Marketing and Solution Developer Programs;
the IBM Test Drive and Technical Support Center; an International Team
OS/2 Forum; and the IBM Grand Prix Reception. Additionally, David Barnes,
senior product manager, IBM Personal Software Products division, will
address the Boston Computer Society's OS/2 User Group during the
conference.

"The OS/2 World Conference and Exhibition is an exciting educational forum
that presents a tremendous opportunity for OS/2 users and administrators
to deepen their understanding of the OS/2 environment and its future,"
said Mr. Thompson, who is responsible for IBM software marketing and for
the development and implementation of IBM's global strategy for support of
solution developers.

In his keynote speech on Tuesday, July 18, Mr. Thompson will address the
growing worldwide market acceptance for OS/2, product directions and IBM's
program to support OS/2 application developers.

"IBM's participation in the OS/2 World Conference and Exhibition affirms
the importance of the event," said Anastasia Kellow, conference director
for OS/2 World Conference and Exhibition. "Application developers and
information systems managers will benefit from this in-depth exploration
of the operating system's capabilities."

The IBM Test Drive and Technical Support Center will feature a 20 PC
network on the exhibit floor, configured with a suite of applications.
Attendees can put the OS/2 Warp network to the test, with IBM technical
staff available for individual consultations. Classes and seminars
presented by IBM employees will cover such subjects as: "Fine-Tuning OS/2
LAN Server;" " Object REXX;" " Storing Objects in DB/2: The Ultimate
Object Datastore;" and "Using OS/2 to Reach the Internet."

In all, more than 125 classes will be offered during the four day
conference. Other special events include a seminar sponsored by The
Independent Vendor League on "Publishing After-Market Software Books," and
IBM certification testing for OS/2 Engineer and LAN/Server Engineer .

GUIDE, the independent corporate IBM user group established in 1956, will
also support the OS/2 World Conference and Exhibition by holding its
Summer '95 Conference and Solutions Fair at Hynes Convention Center
concurrently with the Miller Freeman event. A single conference pass will
allow admission to either show.

More than 1.7 million copies of OS/2 Warp, the third generation of IBM's
award-winning 32-bit operating system, have been sold worldwide since
November 1994. With its impressive new usability features, slimmed-down
system requirements and BonusPak of more than a dozen exploitive OS/2
applications, including easy access to the Internet and Compuserve, OS/2
Warp now comes preloaded on systems from the IBM PC Company, Toshiba,
CompuAdd, Vobis, Escom and Osborne. Dell offers Warp as a preload option
to customers when they order PCs.

OS/2 World Conference & Exhibition, the only independent event devoted
exclusively to IBM's OS/2 operating system, is presented by Miller
Freeman, Inc., one of the nation's largest producers of conferences and
trade exhibitions. The OS/2 World Conference & Exhibition is sponsored by
OS/2 Magazine, OS/2 Developer, LAN Magazine and Stacks: The Network
Journal and is produced in cooperation with IBM's Personal Software
Products Division. Other shows presented by Miller Freeman include:
Software Development, Autodesk University Conference and Exhibition,
MechanCAD, Embedded System Conferences, PCB Design Conference and Surface
Mount International: Advanced Electronics Manufacturing Technologies.
