Speed up Document Retrieval and Reduce Storage Space With EZ Archive
On-line information management software from EZ Image Inc.

April 6, 1995 -- (Puyallup, WA) -- EZ Image Inc. today announced the
release of EZ Archive on-line information management software. EZ Archive
for Windows represents a major price breakthrough in Text Imaging systems
designed to provide users with the ability to economically store, index
and instantly access reports and customer documents generated from
existing computer applications.

Expensive on-line storage and space consuming paper files can literally be
eliminated. Customer invoices, annual 1099 statements, employee W2s, cash
receipts journals and other printed reports are all now instantly
available at the click of a mouse. No longer must a customer be told to
wait while accounting personnel dig through old paper files, search for
documents stored on microfilm, or recreate the document from database
history. Customer inquiries can be handled immediately. An exact copy of
an invoice or statement can be faxed while a customer is still on the
phone.

Text Imaging, first available in the late 1980s, is generally known in the
industry as COOL (Computer Output On-Line) and COLD (Computer Output to
Laser Disk) processing. Prior to the release of EZ Archive, COOL/COLD
processing was very expensive. Most systems, other than those at the very
high end, require complex data entry and offer limited indexing and
retrieval capability.

What makes EZ Archive revolutionary is its ease of use and advanced
indexing capability, offered at an incredibly affordable price.

Simple point and click procedures make setting up indexes fast and user
friendly. Automatically extract information for up to nine index fields
for powerful search capabilities. EZ Archive can accept data from
virtually any application whether it is on a mainframe, client-server,
PC/LAN or a stand-alone PC environment. Data can be stored on a standard
magnetic hard drive, optical disk and now CD ROM. With archived documents
stored under high compression, a 500 megabyte hard drive can hold 500,000
or more full pages of data; approximately 200 boxes of paper and eight
times more data than traditional online systems. One CD ROM will store
over 600,000 single page invoices.

According to Mason Grigsby of Output Strategies, San Francisco, a pioneer
and consultant in the development of COLD technology: "The justification
of a COLD system is straightforward and relatively easy. The payback
period can be measured in months or even weeks."(1) At EZ Archive's truly
economical cost, justification is simple.

"EZ Archive is a tremendous productivity tool," states Craig Goodwin, CEO
of EZ Image Inc. "Not only will your customers be happier, but accounts
receivable collections can often be improved by one or more days. The
underlying overhead costs for data storage, retrieval and related staff
expense will be significantly reduced - all without having to change
existing accounting systems."

Priced at $595, any organization can afford EZ Archive. Site licenses and
network versions of EZ Archive are also available, typically at 1/10th the
cost of currently available on-line systems; prices vary based on the
number of stations.

EZ Archive is a sister product to EZ Recall imaging and document management
software also developed by EZ Image Inc. EZ Recall, first introduced in
1993, represents another major innovation, providing one of the first
truly integrated imaging and COLD processing packages available on the
market. A simple upgrade from EZ Archive to EZ Recall will make currently
demanding chores such as accounts payable processing and matching invoices
with signed delivery receipts a breeze.
