With Expert's Latest Release

CORAL GABLES, FL (April 3, 1995) -- Expert Software, Inc., a leading
provider of affordable consumer software, announced today the release on
CD-ROM of Multimedia Help. This innovative program serves as both a
knowledge base on multimedia as well as a troubleshooter for CD-ROM
problems. Multimedia Help has a Suggested Retail Price of $19.95.

"With the proliferation of multimedia hardware and software in the home,
and plug and play not 100% available yet, it has become imperative to
educate the consumer on how to use CDROMs effectively," said Sue Currier,
president of Expert Software. "Multimedia Help allows a consumer to
de-mystify multimedia technology and take advantage of the medium to its
greatest potential."

Multimedia Help offers two distinct audio-visual presentations: "What is
Multimedia?" and "Tests and Troubleshooting." The "What is Multimedia?"
presentation provides information on CD-ROMs, audio, video, and graphics.
It uses written and audio descriptions, sample audio and video files, and
animation to help a consumer learn the basics of multimedia.

The "Tests & Troubleshooting" section enables a consumer to test their
CD-ROM drive, sound card, and video capabilities. To troubleshoot, simply
click on the on-screen check list. Multimedia Help will then display a
prognosis and problem solving to-do list. If the necessary changes are
made immediately, the instructions will stay on the screen throughout the
repair process. The instructions can also be printed for use later.

The "Tests & Troubleshooting" section also includes "Benchmark Tests" that
allows you to compare your computer system, applications, and overall
performance against industry standards. The comparisons are presented
using colorful 3D graphics.

Multimedia Help offers a truly interactive experience. A consumer can take
a detailed tour of the inside of a CD-ROM drive by means of
computer-generated animation. Consumers can also learn how to play their
favorite musical CDs on their computer. Multimedia Help can even be used
by Pentium PC owners to check their PCs for a flawed processor chip.

Additional Multimedia Help features include:

* Hypertext with definitions of key multimedia terms
* "Bubble Help" offering written descriptions of the programs icons
* The ability to copy graphics to the clipboard
* Sound testing capabilities with sample MIDI and WAV files

Multimedia Help requires a 486SX or higher DOS-compatible PC with DOS 3.3
or higher, Microsoft Windows 3.1; VGA or SVGA; 4MB of RAM (8MB
recommended); an MPC2 compatible CD-ROM drive; a hard drive with at least
5 MB available, a Windows-supported mouse; and an optional 8-bit or higher
sound card.
