Graphics Performance and Full-Screen Digital Video Playback

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- April 4, 1995 -- Diamond Multimedia today announced the
first DRAM offering in its award-winning Stealth line of advanced
multimedia accelerators for personal computers -- the Stealth Video.

Available now in VLB and PCI versions, the Stealth Video accelerator
combines DRAM 64-bit graphic technology with full-screen digital video
playback and image scaling, providing a boost in system performance for
general Windows and DOS multimedia applications. Aimed at
performance-driven businesses, home and small office PC users, the Stealth
Video accelerator, using the S3 Vision868 and the S3 135MHz SDAC, is
available in two versions: a 1 MB version, with an estimated retail price
of $199 and a 2 MB version for $259. The 1 MB version supports 16.7
million colors at up to 640x480 resolution and the 2 MB version supports
True Color up to 800x600 resolution. Both support resolutions up to
1280x1024 and flicker free refresh rates of up to 120Hz. Included at no
extra charge in the retail version are three full bundled software
applications.

Accelerated Video Playback

The Stealth Video enables PC users to view video clips at full-motion rates
of 30 frames per second. An advanced image scaling function allows users
to scale images to full-screen while maintaining frame rates and high
image quality. Driver support for Indeo, Cinepak and software MPEG-1
playback formats is provided.

"The Stealth Video brings multimedia acceleration muscle to both business
and home PC users at very attractive price points," explained Ken
Comstock, director of product marketing for Diamond Multimedia. "Now users
can experience multimedia at its best with scaleable, full-motion video
and high-speed, True Color graphics."

Multimedia Desktop Control

The Stealth Video accelerator features Diamond InControl Tools software
which allows users to control Windows applications with settings for
digital video playback quality and audio control as well as general
desktop functions including virtual desktops, power saving features,
real-time pan and zoom, color correction, and changing modes without
having to restart Windows. Diamond GO '95 Utilities offer a "Windows-like"
interface for DOS for simple resolution and color depth switching from
within DOS.

Value-Added Software Bundles

CorelDRAW4, Asymetrix 3D/ FX and Asymetrix Digital Video Producer programs
are bundled with the retail version of the Diamond Stealth Video for no
additional charge. CorelDRAW 4, a leading graphics and drawing
application, provides multi-page capabilities, more than 750 fonts, and
more than 18,000 clipart images and symbols at a list price of $199.
Asymetrix 3D/FX allows users to quickly and easily create 3D titles, logos
and animations using a drag-and-drop interface and a catalog of models and
scene elements. Asymetrix Digital Video Producer lets users quickly
