Lowest Costing Macintosh E-mail now has Gateways

Newly released Snap Mail 2.0 asks, "Who says full-featured e-mail has to
cost so much?"

Salinas, CA March 1, 1995: C&G announced today the release of the first
Power-Macintosh native LAN e-mail program, Snap Mail 2.0, with new gateway
compatibility. Now e-mail purchasers can enjoy the original advantages of
Snap Mail ( i.e. ease of use, no required server or administrator, and a
price tag of less than half that of other e-mail programs) plus gateway
capability which allows access to over 40 million people on the internet.
Snap Mail may be purchased as an optional bundle with HoloGate which
provides gateways to UUCP, First Class, Microsoft Mail, QuickMail, and
NovaLink. HoloGate is a product of Information Access Technologies (IAT)
of Berkeley, CA, Thirty free days of HoloNet internet access from IAT is
included with the bundle.

Don Beirdneau, Director of Quality Assurance at Casady & Greene, states,
"Snap Mail has just taken a giant leap forward into the future of
communications by combining much needed mail connectivity and management
features with un-paralleled ease of use. Snap Mail's interface appeals to
both novice and sophisticated users by providing a rich feature set which
doesn't trip up novice users."

Users will enjoy these new Snap Mail 2.0 features as well as Gateway
connectivity:

* Inbox folders - organize your incoming messages. Create new folders
to hold specific types of mail and transfer mail to those folders.
view the mail by a variety of criteria (e.g. date sent, date
  received, status, etc.)
* Address book - lists all Snap Mail users (including internet
  addresses) accessible from a network
* Increased enclosure capability - enclose folders, as well as files
and clipboard contents. Files can now be sent to internet addresses.
* Supports Find and Find Again feature - users can search for any
piece of text in the body or header of their mail.
* Carbon copies and Blind Carbon copies is now supported.
* Snap Mail icons can be assigned their own forms (message, phone
message, etc.), status, recipients, carbon copies and blind carbon
copies for commonly sent types of mail.
* Hide infrequently used names in the Address book.
* And many more conveniences and preferences.

Chuck Brown of Horizons Video & Film, a twenty-five site beta tester, had
this to say about Snap Mail, "I 'talk Snap Mail up' all the time. It's the
perfect e-mail solution for a company our size and style. We tried another
"full featured" e-mail a few months ago and it lasted exactly 2 days. No
one thought it was HALF as functional as Snap Mail for our purposes.
Please let everyone involved know how much we enjoy it."

Terry Kunysz, president of Casady & Greene, states, "Snap Mail with
Hologate is the least expensive UUCP solution on the market. Larger Snap
Mail sites will be especially pleased with their savings. A 50 site pack
of Snap Mail alone is $1940. Add Hologate as a bundle and the price is
$2340 and includes unlimited Hologate licenses. A 500 Hologate site would
be paying $1 a site for internet support. There is no other LAN e-mail
system that offers such a feature-rich, cost-effective mail system with
mail management and internet gateways."

Snap Mail suggested retail prices are as follows:

Snap Mail without Hologate:      $250 - 5 pack; $420 - 10 pack;
                                 $1940 - 50 pack
Snap Mail bundled with Hologate: $395 - 5 pack; $575 - 10 pack;
                                 $2340 - 50 pack with unlimited
                                         Hologate sites
