Warner Bros. Records and Apple Computer Demonstrate New Interactive Music
Technologies

BURBANK/CUPERTINO, California--March 27, 1995--Warner Bros. Records and
Apple Computer, Inc. have announced that they are working to expand the
artistic horizons for musicians developing interactive titles. Previewed
today at a music industry event hosted by Apple were music videos by
Warner Bros. Records recording artists Van Halen, R.E.M. and Tom Petty
which feature Apple's QuickTime multimedia software and QuickTime VR
virtual reality software.

The video clips and interactive panoramas by these Warner Bros. recording
artists are expected to be available on the Internet on QuickTime On-Line,
Apple's new World Wide Web server (http://quicktime.apple.com). In
addition, the Warner Bros. Records forums on America Online and CompuServe
will be offering samples of the leading edge interactive music projects as
well as information about the latest Warner Bros. Records titles.

"The music concepts we are demonstrating today could be the beginning of a
new genre that Apple technology is helping to create, one that brings fans
closer to their favorite artists," said Jeff Gold, vice president, Warner
Bros. Records. "These new interactive titles can provide consumers with
the exhilarating experience of hearing the thoughts behind the songs,
seeing the back-stage scenes, being a part of the creation of the
music--just by downloading these interactive releases from the Internet.
It's really a very exciting phenomenon."

"Warner Bros. Records and its artists are teaching the multimedia industry
to be creative," said Duncan Kennedy, product line manager for QuickTime
at Apple. "With the influx of innovative ideas coming from the music
industry, the computer industry is getting a lot more interesting."

Warner Bros. Records was the first record label to enter the interactive
frontier and has forums on America Online, CompuServe and the Internet.
CYBER-TALK, the label's weekly interactive talk show on America Online,
features a different Warner Bros. Records/affiliate label recording artist
every week.
