April 7, 1995 -- San Mateo, CA--The delightful cast of Sesame Street
characters, which has been entertaining and educating children for more
than 25 years o n television, delivers its charming learning skills in two
new innovative CD-ROM programs from ABC/EA Home Software. Available now,
the next titles in the software leader's Sesame Street CD-ROM Library,
Sesame Street: Letters and Sesame Street: Let's Make A Word! feature such
favorite characters as Oscar The Grouch, Elmo, Big Bird and Bert and
Ernie. These two programs are available for the IBM PC for a suggested
retail price of $49.95 (street price of $39.95) and are exclusively
developed by Children's Television Workshop and published by ABC/EA Home
Software. Macintosh versions will be available at a later date.

Sesame Street: Letters and Sesame Street: Let's Make A Word! teach
preschool children, ages 3 to 6, with challenging, fun and humorous
interactive lessons and games led by the beloved Sesame Street characters.
They each offer a vast selection of engaging interactivity including songs
and videos taken from the multi Emmy Award-winning television series, and
feature the actual voices of the Sesame Street Muppet characters. The
programs provide children with hours of entertaining learning experiences,
as well as positive feedback and reinforcement offered throughout the
interactive activities from the characters themselves.

While the prestigious television series has always encouraged its viewers
to become involved with the characters, the Sesame Street CD-ROMs extend
the experience even further by allowing children to truly interact with
Big Bird and the gang. For instance, kids can receive a phone call from
Ernie in one sequence, and get game tips from Elmo in the next -- all
while visiting and exploring favorite Sesame Street locations such as Bert
and Ernie's apartment and the Count's castle. Kids control where they want
to go and how much time they'll spend there.

Sesame Street: Letters

Sesame Street: Letters is hosted by Telly, who leads kids through the
Sesame Street "Around The Corner" set. Kids and Telly can visit five other
characters in their homes and build a different important skill with each.
Players can play the "Trash Game" with Oscar The Grouch and learn to
recognize letters; visit Snuffalupagus' cave to learn sound and letter
identification; participate in the "Rhyming Game" with Big Bird; and visit
Bert and Ernie's apartment for a game of "Shape-O-Matic" in which they can
turn various objects into different shapes.

Sesame Street: Let's Make A Word!

The boisterous, enthusiastic Guy Smiley talk show host guides children
through Sesame Street: Let's Make A Word!, an interactive exploration c
the many facets of words. Children join Guy Smiley on the set of the "Lets
Make A Word!" game show, where they can discover more than 300 new words,
spelling, vocabulary, phonics, Spanish words and their meanings, and much
more. Players can create 24 unique word game experiences by exploring any
one of the four environments--a farm, construction site, restaurant, or
park - with any one of the six Muppet "word specialists." For instance,
kids can play "Letter Search" with Big Bird, "Spin-N-Spell" with Elmo, and
"Sound-It-Out" with the Two-Headed Monster.

The first title in ABC/EA's Sesame Street series, Sesame Street: Numbers,
was released in November, 1994 for the PC and is now available for
Macintosh.
