Available in ITU-T V.34 and V.32bis Models

SKOKIE, Ill., -- September 12, 1994 -- U.S. Robotics, Inc. (NASDAQ:USRX)

fax capabilities, and are compatible with PCMCIA 2.1 slots.

"These new PCMCIA products join U. S. Robotics' well-established product
lines for data center, LAN-based and desktop environments. They allow us
to leverage the considerable brand equity of the Sportster and Courier
brands," said Jonathan Zakin, U.S. Robotics executive vice president.
"They also close the client/host communications loop for mobile
customers."

The Sportster 14.4 Data/Fax PCMCIA 2.1 ($259) and Courier 14.4 Data/Fax
PCMCIA 2.1 ($499) will ship in September. The Sportster V.34 Data/Fax
