DCA AND GUPTA LAUNCH SEMINAR SERIES FOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS

Designed to Ease Integration of Host and Client/Server Environments Across
Multiprotocol Networks

September 27, 1994 -- ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- DCA, an international leader in
providing personal computer communications software solutions for host and
remote information access, is sponsoring a nationwide series of
educational forums designed to help provide Gupta developers with the
tools they need to quickly and easily integrate legacy data into
client/server applications across the enterprise.

"The DCA-Gupta Client/Server Seminars" are half-day classes for Gupta
SQLWindows application developers and managers who are currently deploying
client/server on a departmental basis. By learning how to use DCA's
QuickApp and QuickPeer tools together with Gupta's SQLWindows tool,
developers can better support their users and develop enterprise-wide
client/server applications.

In the seminar, attendees will learn how to:

Integrate legacy data from different host environments into a single
application on a desktop PC. Cut weeks from client/server development
time. Easily create robust client/server applications that work. Improve
business systems and corporate-wide productivity. Extend client/server
solutions across the entire organization.

The forums will be held in Atlanta on Thursday, October 13; in Detroit on
Tuesday, October 18; in Chicago on Thursday, October 20; in New York on
Wednesday, October 26; in New Orleans on Thursday, October 27; in
Washington, DC on Tuesday, November 1; in Hartford on Thursday, November
3; in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 8; in San Jose on Wednesday,
November 9; in Raleigh on Tuesday, November 15; in Toronto on Thursday,
December 1; in Indianapolis on Tuesday, December 6; and in Dallas on
Thursday, December 8.

DCA's QuickApp and QuickPeer can extend Gupta's SQLWindows development
environment to enable developers to create enterprise-wide client/server
applications. QuickApp eliminates the need to write pages of
communications code and, with its QuickObject implementation, seamlessly
integrates information from IBM Mainframes, AS/400, UNIX, DEC,
Hewlett-Packard and Unisys hosts into new SQLWindows applications.
QuickPeer simplifies the development of client/server applications for
APPC, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX and NETBIOS networks. The tool automatically
generates communications code within the graphical SQLWindows environment
by a simple point and click function, relieving the developer from
learning the technical details of communications protocols.

As part of the seminars, DCA and Gupta representatives will be available
for one-on-one discussions with attendees to answer questions or to help
work through specific client/server challenges. At the conclusion of each
seminar a drawing will be held. Attendees can win a complete client/server
tool kit worth $5,000, which includes a choice of QuickApp or QuickPeer
tools, Irma workstation software, as well as Gupta SQLWindows.
