Apple Introduces WiggleWorks Home Learning Software for Children

Makes Learning to Read and Write Fun

FAMILY COMPUTER FAIR, Minneapolis, Minnesota--September 19, 1994-- Apple
Computer, Inc. today introduced WiggleWorks, a collection of 3 electronic
stories and reading and writing activities on a single CD-ROM for children
ages 3 to 8. This product is unique because it not only allows children
to experience and illustrate engaging, interactive stories, but also leads
early-reading children through reading and writing on their own.
WiggleWorks has been tailored for the home, and is based on the
WiggleWorks curriculum product developed by Scholastic, Inc., currently
being used in classrooms across the country.

WiggleWorks combines a variety of engaging, confidence-building activities
that help children develop reading, writing and listening skills. With
WiggleWorks, children can choose to have stories read to them by the
book's narrator. Or, by reading a story into a microphone, they can play
back and listen to their own story. They also can create--and then play
back--a story of their very own.
