Logitech Sets Sights on Flight Simulator Joystick Market

Radically Designed WingMan and WingMan Extreme Joysticks Expected to
Throttle the Competition and Send Logitech Soaring to New Heights in
Joystick Market

Fremont, Calif.-August 1, 1994: Logitech, Inc., the world's leading
manufacturer and innovator of computer pointing devices, today announced
that it's taking off in the high-flying PC flight simulation market with
two new ultra-realistic, super-stylish analog joysticks, called WingMan
and WingMan Extreme. Featuring gripping ergonomics, quality workmanship
and a radical new look that would be appreciated in any cockpit, WingMan
and WingMan Extreme will invade major retail outlets in September at a
suggested retail price of $39.95 and $69.95 respectively.

"Our mission was to create the ultimate joystick and deliver it at a price
point that blows holes large enough through the competition that a B-l
Bomber could fly through," declares Scot Schulte, product manager. "Given
our expertise in design and ergonomics," Schulte adds, "our competitors
will have to 'check six' because we may be flying right up their tail."

Internationally known for its innovative and ergonomic pointing devices,
Logitech applied the same stringent industrial design standards to produce
the outrageous look and feel of WingMan and WingMan Extreme.

Specifically designed for maximum palm, thumb, and wrist comfort, the new
joysticks allow hours of play with no fatigue. "Every angle of the
joystick head was painstakingly created for maximum ergonomic comfort and
thumb switch control," says Schulte.

Distinguishing features of the WingMan joysticks include rubberized buttons
and a much heavier base than is offered by competitors like CH Products,
Thrustmaster, and Advanced Gravis. This heavier foundation provides
greater stability and control over advanced flight maneuvers such as
extremely radical turns, barrel-rolls, hard dives, and climbs. The
standard WingMan, has a trigger and a thumb switch, and a throttle control
built directly into the base. It supports all existing two-button,
throttle control PC flight simulation games.

The high performance WingMan Extreme flies all high-end
Thrustmaster-compatible simulations. Tn addition to extra palm support for
hours of fatigue-free flying, a four-way view switch on the WingMan
Extreme handle provides the pilot with an immediate "around-the-clock
view" of any angle from the cockpit. Furthermore, three additional thumb
buttons are instantaneously available for quick-witted weapons control,
target switching, and special weapons. Trim controls are built into the
base for both products so the joysticks can be fine-tuned for precision
piloting.

Logitech's peripheral experience gives the company a strategic advantage in
the joystick market in terms of quality, service, support, distribution,
ergonomic design and price control. "Our ability to produce the 'top gun'
in joysticks is a natural extension of Logitech s commitment to quality in
all of our other products," Schulte comments.

Logitech designs, manufactures and markets "Senseware"-products intended to
give human-like senses such as sight, sound and touch to the computer,
making human-to-computer communications more intuitive and natural.
Logitech International, the financial holding company for the Logitech
Group, is traded publicly in Switzerland on the Geneva and Zurich
exchanges. With operational headquarters in Fremont, Calif., the group
maintains manufacturing facilities in Fremont, California; Hsinchu,
Taiwan; Cork, Ireland; Shanghai, China; and Taiping, Malaysia; and offices
