Solectek Introduces Certified Integrator Program with Reduced Product
Prices for Qualified Resellers

SAN DIEGO, CA--August 17, 1994 -- Solectek Corporation today announced that
it is now accepting applications for its Certified Integrators (CI) and
Certified Vertical Partners (CVP) reseller program -- an advanced reseller
program targeting a limited number of highly qualified participants. These
selected resellers will represent and resell Solectek's "AIRLAN CAN"-- the
broadest line of wireless Campus Area Networking products in the
industry.

"This program represents an outstanding opportunity for horizontal and
vertical resellers to get in on the ground floor of the exploding wireless
mobile computing market," said Bruce L. Sanguinetti, Solectek's vice
president of sales and marketing. "Solectek has continuously focused on
reseller partnerships. With Solectek's new CI and CVP programs, we are
seeking a limited number of resellers to be our business partners -- our
sales force. The focus will be on quality, not quantity."

Solectek's program is available for two types of resellers:

** The CI program is specifically designed for horizontal resellers who
specialize in providing LAN and WAN products and services to corporate
America -integrating different platforms, environments, communication
protocols, and applications into one seamless system;

** The CVP program was created to meet the unique needs of vertical
resellers -VARs and developers that provide products and services with a
specific industry slant, such as medical, manufacturing, point-of-sale,
warehousing, utilities, repair, and others.

As a CI or CVP -- limited to 250 in the continental U.S. -- resellers will
deal directly with Solectek, and receive more advanced reseller services,
including the Solectek Sales Kit (with a presentation video, an
application guide, and a technical manual), complete sales and technical
training at Solectek, a dedicated technical account manager, sales leads,
priority technical support, sales support, specially priced demo units,
cooperative marketing program (trade shows and collateral support), and
outstanding profit margins.

One key component of the Solectek CI and CVP programs is an expanded
two-day training session to ensure success for the program members. The
first day will focus on sales, marketing and a product overview that is
designed primarily for reseller sales and marketing personnel. The second
day is designed for technical personnel, either from the reseller's
company or the reseller's customer, focusing on installation, support and
other advanced aspects of RF communications. As a special incentive for
early participation in the advanced training program, the fee of $295 will
be waived for those attending training prior to December, 1994.

"AIRLAN is perfect for horizontal and vertical resellers because it works
with every major network operating system," said Sanguinetti. "Resellers
will be able to bring wireless mobile campus-wide computing to their
customers whether they run NetWare, Windows NT, VINES, LAN Server,
Artisoft, OS/2, or any combination."

Sanguinetti continued, "In addition, AIRLAN is fully compatible with
wireless networking products from AT&T, DEC and a number of others which
represent almost half of the installed wireless market -- so
interoperability is very seldom an objection."
