RUPP TECHNOLOGY'S NEW RUPPLYNX FOR WIZARD LINKS SHARP ORGANIZERS TO
PERSONAL COMPUTERS

Electronic Software Link Brings Full Windows-Compatibility

PHOENIX, Ariz.-- Rupp Technology Corporation is now shipping RuppLynx for
Wizard, an electronic organizer-to-PC software linking product from the
source of Sharp Corporation's prior organizer links that easily connects
high-end Sharp Wizards to PC-compatible portable and desktop computers
operating in Windows.

Rupp's newest Wizard-to-PC linking product takes full advantage of the
power and versatility of Sharp's 8000 and 9000 Series electronic
organizers -including the popular Model OZ-9600 II Pen Wizard.
Specifically, RuppLynx for Wizard is compatible with Sharp's 8000, 8200,
8600 and 9000 series Wizard organizers (exclusive of the 8000S and
8200S).

"The new RuppLynx turns any compatible Wizard into a true Windows PC
accessory -- a device free from normal laptop computing limitations,"
explained Tim McNally, Rupp's vice-president of marketing. "For
applications where even the smallest portable PC is still too much
hardware, RuppLynx for Wizard transforms Sharp Wizards into the working
equivalent of a handheld Windows PC," he said.

RuppLynx for Wizard takes over where the popular Rupp-programmed PC link
(OZ-892) leaves off by providing full support for the graphical Windows
interface allowing users to import and export information across
Windows-based applications between electronic organizer and a connected
PC.

In addition, RuppLynx integrates fully with the Sharp CE-IR2 wireless
interface for the OZ-9600 series Wizards, allowing for the cable-free
transfer and exchange of data files between organizer and PC via infrared
transmission.

This latest version of Rupp's critically acclaimed "Lynx" connectivity
product line is the third level of Wizard-to-PC linking product to reach
the market with Rupp's assistance since 1990 when the Phoenix-based
software developer signed an agreement with Sharp Corporation to develop
software programs for use with Sharp systems products. The pact gave Sharp
access to Rupp's proven reputation for developing technologically advanced
programs and helped launch the current Sharp-branded Organizer Link
dynasty.

Key benefits to users of RuppLynx for Wizard include: fewer memory
restrictions than standard DOS-oriented programs; selectable file transfer
capabilities to and from the Wizard -- including a "merge" option; faster
backup operations -- making it possible to quickly copy Wizard-created
data files to the PC for safekeeping or other reference; and, the ability
to import and export SDF, CSV, dBase and other file formats to and from
other software programs.

This RuppLynx import/export capability allows users to interface Wizard
data files with a number of popular PC software applications, among them:
Lotus Organizer, ACT! for Windows and Calendar Creator Plus for Windows.
Once imported, Wizard files can be used to generate customized reports, or
be printed out on any connected PC printer.

PC system requirements necessary to run RuppLynx for Wizard include a
portable or desktop personal computer with mouse that is running Window
3.1 or greater in '386-enhanced mode, has at least 2 MBytes of available
hard disk memory and is equipped with a minimum 2 MBytes of RAM.

RuppLynx for Wizard is currently available at an introductory retail price
of $99.99 -- which includes a linking cable. Without cable, the software
upgrade price for previous organizer link customers is $39.95. To order

Rupp's history of consistent software utility innovations has led industry
giants such as Microsoft and Sharp to select versions of Rupp file
transfer programs over competing utilities for inclusion in their recent
product offerings.

Rupp Technology is also well known for its standalone PC-compatible "Lynx"
family of file management software offerings, including the new WinLynx
for Windows and FastLynx Lite DOS-specific file transfer programs.
