12 NEW STATE MODULES HIGHLIGHT ENHANCEMENTS TO THE PRENTICE HALL TAX SYSTEM
FOR BUSINESS RETURNS

ATLANTA, July 29 -- The 1994 version of The Prentice Hall Tax System for
business returns will include 12 new state modules, among other
enhancements, Prentice Hall Professional Software announced today. The
system includes the following modules: 1120 Advantage, 1120S Advantage,
and 1065 Advantage. Also featured in the release will be new forms and
support for multiple preparers.

"The addition of these state modules is significant because it offers
accountants a complete business tax software solution in the states
affected," said Tax Products Manager, Eileen M. Lichtenfeld, CPA.

Software for the following states will be added to 1120S Advantage: AL, GA,
IL, MA, VA (as well as a complete rewrite to accommodate the new NJ
S-Corporation requirements). 1065 Advantage will include seven new state
packages: AL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NY and PA.

New Forms, Projected Depreciation Schedule Added

The 1994 version of The Prentice Hall Tax System for business returns will
feature the addition of forms 1120W (Corporation Estimated Tax), 851
(Affiliations Schedule for consolidated returns) and 8736 (Application for
Automatic Extension of Time to File US Return for a Partnership). The
product will also provide a Projected Depreciation schedule to help in
planning efforts. Support for multiple preparers in the firm profile for
filing instruction and paid preparer purposes will also be included.

Users will also benefit from all remaining forms being converted to the new
graphical environment, offering a consistent interface throughout the
system. The resulting benefits include mouse support, source windows, and
faster processing speed.

Availability, Support and System Requirements

The list price for The Prentice Hall Tax System for business returns is
$595 per module (1120 Advantage, 1120S Advantage, 1065 Advantage). Special
bundle and per return pricing are also available. The system requires an
IBM and 100% compatible 80286-based PC, DOS 3.1 or later, and 2MB RAM (XMS
- with at least 1024K XMS free and 510K conventional memory available).
Prentice Hall recommends an 80386 or 80486-based PC, color monitor, DOS
5.0 or higher, a 100% HP-compatible laser printer, and a 100%
Microsoft-compatible mouse.
