POWERSOFT CHIEF EXECUTIVE TO KEYNOTE PC EXPO IN CHICAGO

Mitchell Kertzman, Chairman and CEO of Powersoft Corporation, to Open PC
EXPO in Chicago, October 19-21

(Fort Lee, NJ, August 11 ) -- Mitchell Kertzman, founder, chairman and CEO
of Powersoft Corporation deliver the keynote address opening the Ninth
Annual PC EXPO in Chicago, October 19-21, at McCormick Place East. In his
speech, "The New Path to IS Management Success," on Wednesday, October 19,
at 9:00 a.m., Mr. Kertzman will address how IS must work with systems
users to establish an open, plug-and-play corporate computing environment
-- components must be interoperable, scalable, adaptable and affordable,
and processing power must be accessible to all users within the
organization.

Mr. Kertzman will demonstrate that when data distribution systems are
implemented in this way, they are no longer a threat to IS authority.
Instead, they are a means for IS managers to enhance their status and
become true heroes within their organizations.

Mr. Kertzman founded Powersoft in 1974 as a custom software engineering and
consulting organization. Powersoft Corporation, based in Concord, MA, is
now a publicly held company that develops, markets and supports
client/server application development tools for Fortune 1000 companies and
government agencies. The company's flagship product, PowerBuilder
Enterprise, was introduced in 1991 and named LAN Magazine's "Product of
the Year" for three consecutive years.

Mr. Kertzman is currently President of the Massachusetts Software Council,
and is a Director of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, the New
England Council, the United Way of Massachusetts and the Boston Latin
School Foundation. In 1993, he was the recipient of the award given by
Inc. Magazine and Ernst & Young as the New England Entrepreneur of the
Year.
