Apple Computer Unveils Affordable, Entry-Level Macintosh Desktop and
PowerBook Computers

CUPERTINO, California--July 18, 1994--Demonstrating its commitment to
delivering products that "do more and cost less", the Personal Computer
Division of Apple Computer, Inc. today broadened its product line with two
entry-level products for the desktop and mobile computing markets:  an
easy-to-use multimedia Macintosh  computer and a low-cost, lightweight
PowerBook  computer.

Macintosh 630 Product Line:  Affordable and Customizable Multimedia
Solutions

With the Macintosh 630 computer, Apple is taking multimedia computing
mainstream.  Today the company rolled out a suite of Macintosh multimedia
computer products and accessories that make it much easier--and more
affordable--for people to create, use and combine graphics, text, music,
video, and images on a computer.  The Macintosh 630 computers, priced as
low as $1,300, are configured and marketed under three brand
names--Performa , Macintosh LC, and Macintosh Quadra --to meet the varied
computing needs of customers in the home, education, and business
environment respectively.

PowerBook 150:  The Most Affordable Mobile Solution from Apple Apple also
introduced the PowerBook  150, the most affordable member of its
award-winning PowerBook line of notebook computers.  Priced at $1,449, the
PowerBook 150 is designed for higher-education students, home and small
office users, and desktop users with casual second system needs, as well
as for customers who are entering the mobile computing world for the first
time.
