PRO Engineering Announces EZRAID Lite for OS/2
Disk Management Software for OS/2 Desktop Systems

OTTAWA, Canada -- July 1, 1994 -- PRO Engineering today announced EZRAID
Lite for OS/2, a software-based disk management solution targeted for the
desktop market. For users of OS/2 v.2.1x and OS/2 for Windows, EZRAID Lite
has a suggested retail price of $195 US and will begin shipping August
1st, 1994.

EZRAID Lite brings the benefits of disk array and RAID technology to the
desktop level at an affordable price. Using disk mirroring, data striping
and disk spanning EZRAID Lite creates software-managed disk arrays with
unparalleled flexibility. The software supports any disk interface
including IDE, SCSI and ESDI and is the only software RAID solution to
include support for non-SCSI disk drives and host adapters.

"Now OS/2 users can combine any two disks and take advantage of the
fault-tolerance, enhanced disk I/O, complete data reliability and the
increased storage capacity offered with RAID technology," said PRO
Engineering president Daniel Levesque. He adds, "With OS/2 for Windows now
widely available, any DOS and Windows application will benefit from the
advanced disk management features EZRAID Lite provides."

For simplified data management EZRAID Lite is able to stripe or span data
across any two disks creating a single large logical drive. And with the
ability to mirror any existing logical drive, without the need to
reformat, EZRAID Lite provides real-time backups of all user files.

Implemented as a logical disk device driver, EZRAID Lite controls RAIDs at
the partition level. This unique approach allows RAID logical drives to
co- exist with any existing partitions. In addition, both disk mirroring
and disk striping can be used on the same set of physical disks.

As the first desktop RAID product on the market, EZRAID Lite is a scaled
down version of EZRAID for OS/2. A product that supports RAID levels 0, 1,
4 and 5. EZRAID Lite is PRO Engineering's latest addition to their growing
family of software-based RAID solutions. The product will be available
from Indelible Blue at 800-776-8284; 919-878-9700.
