STEREOGRAPHICS INTRODUCES NEW DUAL LCD STEREOSCOPIC PROJECTION SYSTEM

Breakthrough System Allows Large Audiences Affordable 3D viewing

San Rafael, CA -- August 1, 1994 -- StereoGraphics Corporation, the world's
largest supplier of three-dimensional electronic stereo display equipment,
announced today its new Dual LCD stereoScopic Video Projection System.

The system creates crisp high-resolution, full color stereo images using
live or recorded video suitable for inexpensive flicker-free viewing by
groups of up to 100 people. The system is designed for broadcast, video,
satellite, microwave or closed-circuit communications via land lines using
coaxial cables or fiber optic networks requiring a high-quality image.

Proprietary color correction optical filters along with a high reflectance
silver surface screen and passive polarized CrystalEyes eyewear ensure
excellent stereo images over a wide range of viewing angles and viewer
head positions.

The system has wide applications for trade show presentations, teaching and
training, design reviews, teleconferencing, museum exhibits,
entertainment, manufacturing and quality control, remote manipulation and
viewing, as well as for industrial and corporate video presentations.

Wil Cochran, StereoGraphics vice president of sales and marketing, said,
'Restoring natural vision inexpensively to large viewing audiences now is
a reality using StereoGraphics' dual LCD projector. The breakthrough
system is the first affordable, easy-to-use 3D projector to produce high
quality video images.'

The compact and lightweight projector design makes the system ideal for
presentations requiring equipment portability. Test pattern aids enable
the operator to quickly prepare the system for viewing. Comfortable and
inexpensive standard polarizing eyewear are used for viewing at minimal
cost. Other features include full NTSC compatibility and zoom projection
lenses.

The system is used in conjunction with the CrystalEyes VideoSystem which
provides dual output playback to drive the dual projector. Alternating at
120Hz, high-intensity lamps project the left and right LCD images through
individual polarizing filters onto the high-reflectance screen. The
polarizing eyewear allows observers to see left and right images and fuse
the two into true stereo images.

The projector is a portable FTF active matrix x3 LCD color projector with a
horizontal resolution of 450 lines and 110,450x3 pixels. The diagonal
image size ranges from 25- to 300 inches using a 160W metal halide lamp.
NTSC-compatible input jacks include two RCA, one BNC and one S-Video. Four
LED operator indicators are included, along with six remote operating
image controls. The assembled dual projector weighs 80 lbs., and measures
12-inches high by 16-inches wide and 24-inches deep.

The Dual LCD Stereoscopic Video Projection System is available now at
$11,000 with a one-year warranty. The system includes the dual projector,
remote control units, dust covers, depixelation and polarizing filters,
projection screen, projector alignment tape, operator's manual, ten sets
of CrystalEyes deluxe passive eyewear, and 100 pack of paper polarizer
eyewear. Additional eyewear are available, with the ten-pack of deluxe
CrystalEyes passive eyewear at $300, and the 100-pack of paper polarizer
eyewear $100. Additional equipment required during setup includes an
S-Video tape recorder and CrystalEyes Dual Output Playback System.

StereoGraphics' new high-resolution Stereo Video Camera for professional
field and studio applications features motorized control of all functions
critical to the camera operator and a simplified initial set-up procedure
for specific shooting conditions.

This stereo camera system completes StereoGraphics' end-to-end CrystalEyes
VideoSystem which enables high resolution full-color video true
stereoscopic 3D images to be simultaneously viewed and transmitted or
recorded and played back with a single VCR, Betacam-SP or laser disk. The
self-contained CrystalEyes VideoSystem is NTSC and PAL compatible and
works with virtually all video equipment worldwide.

StereoGraphics' patented CrystalEyes depth perception products utilize true
3D stereo to improve and dramatize viewing for a broad and diverse user
universe. CrystalEyes products provide high-resolution, realistic and
flicker-free stereo viewing for scientific visualization, animation,
medical imaging, surgical endoscopy, molecular modeling, computer games,
photogrammetry, location-based entertainment, motion simulation,
inspection systems, remote vehicle control, flight simulation, corporate
presentations and all types of education and training.

StereoGraphics Corp., founded in 1980, invented and developed the market
for modern stereo imaging hardware. Due to its capability, reasonable
price and state-of-the-art technology backed by 14 patents, CrystalEyes
systems are accepted as the industry standard for stereo viewing.
