PM ATTRIB
Attribute Management Via the WPS

PM Attrib brings the functionality of the DOS and OS/2 ATTRIB.EXE command
to the OS/2 Workplace Shell. Why PM Attrib? If you've ever copied files
from a CD Rom using the OS/2 Workplace Shell, then you have all ready seen
why. OS/2, in its infinte wisdom, perserves the read-only attribute of
the files copied from the CD. This is nice, but makes some files (.DLLs
for example) rather unusable.

Enter PM Attrib. Now, rather than shelling out to the command line to run
ATTRIB.EXE, you can modify attributes of many files at once using PM and
Drag and Drop. Simply drop any file or directory on the Drop Zone and the
attributes checked/unchecked will become set/clear on that file or
directory. You can even set/clear attributes of subdirectories of a
dropped directory. In other words, you can set/clear attributes of an
entire directory structure by simply dropping the first level folder onto
the Drop Zone.

There are two PM Attrib archives floating around cyberspace. One is called
PMATTR10.ZIP and the other is called PMATNO10.ZIP. The latter is
significantly smaller, and for good reason. PM Attrib was created by
Watcom's VX-Rexx version 2.0a ((c) Watcom International). The
PMATTR10.ZIP version of PM Attrib includes the VROBJ.DLL file from VX-Rexx
2.0a that allows VX-Rexx programs to run. The smaller archive does not
contain this file. Both archives are made available so that users who
already possess a copy of this file need not spend extra time downloading
it.

Both of these archives were uploaded to ftp-os2.cdrom.com and should be
available in either the /pub/os2/incoming, /pub/os2/new, or
/pub/os2/2_x/diskutils subdirectories. These archives have also been make
available on OS/2 Shareware and the IBM PCC BBS, as well as other local
OS/2 BBSs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Feel free to distribute
these archives (in an unmodified form) at will, but please upload both
archives (with and without VROBJ.DLL) to any one site. If you operate a
site that has received only one of these files, feel free to contact the
author (see addresses below) to receive the companion file.

PM Attrib is being distributed as shareware, and is fully Copyrighted (c)
by Larry R. Tubbs Jr.. Users are given license to use this product for 60
days after which time they are expected to register to continue using the
product. PM Attrib is *NOT* crippled in any way. Also, it is not set to
'drop dead' after a specified number of days. It is a complete, working
copy of PM Attrib. The only difference between the shareware version and
the registered version is that the shareware version has the word
"Unregistered" after the name PM Attrib in the Product Information dialog
box.

Registration is only $10.00 U.S.. Please help support shareware, and
shareware authors by registering this program and any other shareware that
you find to be of use to you. This will insure that fine products will
continue to be available via this fantastic medium.

Free free to contact the author with any comments, suggestions, and/or bug
reports. See below for more information. Thanks in advance for trying PM
Attrib.
