NEC TECHNOLOGIES REDUCES PRICES OF IMAGE 466es SERIES OF DESKTOP COMPUTERS

(Boxborough, Mass., June 1, 1994) -- NEC Technologies, Inc. (NECT) today
announced substantial price reductions on its Image 466es Series of
desktop computers effective May 1.
Sales of the Image 466es Series systems, which have exceeded NECT's
expectations, are forecast to increase in the wake of the reduction, said
Denny Lane, director of marketing for NECT's Desktop Systems Group.

"Price competition in this market segment continues to be intense," Lane
said. "The fact that new technology continues to roll out at an
accelerated pace, coupled with continuous pricing pressure, means buyers
of desktop computers today can get far faster, more powerful systems for
less cash today that they could even a few months ago."

Lane added that the demand for more powerful systems seems to be almost
insatiable. "As soon as new technologies are announced -- whether they are
faster processing speeds, increased hard disk capacity, better graphics
acceleration or improved displays, the demand is heard at once. Powerful,
dependable NEC Technology has never been available at the kind of prices
we're now able to offer."

The price reductions are available immediately through NECT dealers.

The NEC Image 466 prices are as follows:
