EISA-GPIB Features Transfer Rates Greater than 7.5 Mbytes/s

The new National Instruments EISA-GPIB board is the first ultra-performance
IEEE 488.2 interface board specifically for EISA computers. The EISA-GPIB
features the TNT4882C ASIC and performs the basic Talker, Listener, and
Controller functions required by all versions of the IEEE 488 standard,
including IEEE 488.2. It also implements the high-speed HS488 protocol for
data transfer rates greater than 7.5 Mbytes/s.

The EISA-GPIB has no hardware jumpers or configuration switches because all
hardware settings (base address, interrupt, and DMA) are completely
software configurable using PC EISA configuration utilities.

NI-488.2 Included

Industry-standard NI-488.2 software for DOS and Windows, which comes with
the EISA-GPIB, includes interactive debugging and software configuration
utilities for both DOS and Window, as well as language interface libraries
for the most popular programming languages, including Microsoft Visual
Basic. The enhanced NI-488.2 software for DOS and Windows software
provides special capability to control the EISA-GPIB, AT-GPIB/TNT, and
AT-GPIB in the same PC.
