Apple Announces Corporate Alliance Program

Collaboration between Apple, resellers and key accounts to improve large
account service

CAMPBELL, California--May 9, 1994--Apple USA, a division of Apple Computer,
Inc., today announced the Apple Corporate Alliance Program, a strategic
program designed to foster a stronger, three-way relationship between
Apple, its resellers and large corporate customers in the U.S.  The move
is a critical component of Apple's channel strategy, and is intended to
help resellers improve service to key accounts.

The new program emphasizes joint communication and planning between Apple,
its resellers and large corporate customers.  Under this program,
resellers are designated by the customer and work closely with Apple
personnel to more effectively service their customers. Benefits include
advance product and technology briefings, and enhanced sales and support
training at no additional cost.

Qualifying customers receive newly released Apple technologies and products
for evaluation, specially designed service plans and an employee purchase
program administered through the reseller of their choice.  The
cooperative nature of the program also enhances the product allocation
process.  Strategic communication between all parties helps customers
identify their needs prior to new product introductions and improves
overall customer support.

Program Requirements

The Apple Corporate Alliance is open to all Apple Authorized Resellers.  To
participate, resellers must be designated by the customer.  Qualifying
resellers must provide an account team for each ACA customer and deliver
monthly Electronic Data Interchange  (EDI) reporting to Apple.

ACA resellers help develop on-going quarterly forecasts with the Apple ACA
team, and agree to participate in periodic training programs and
non-disclosure briefings with customers.

ACA customers can designate either one or two resellers per buying
location.  These customers also help develop on-going quarterly forecasts
with the Apple ACA team, and agree to participate in at least one
non-disclosure meeting annually.  ACA customers may switch resellers
during the year provided they submit the change in writing to Apple. 
Participation in ACA does not exclude customers from purchasing from other
resellers.
