STARLITE SOFTWARE CORP., ACQUIRES PC-WRITE

Experienced publisher to offer popular shareware word processor.

January 24, 1994 -- (Hadlock, Wash.) -- Starlite Software Corp. today
announced that it has acquired exclusive publishing rights to the popular
shareware word processor PC-Write I from the software developer, Bob
Wallace. Mr. Wallace is of Seattle, Wash. The deal includes Starlite's
acquisition of publishing rights to PC- Write add-ons and related
products, and Mr. Wallace's assisting Starlite in the development of
enhanced versions of PC-Write.

Starlite currently publishes the Galaxy line of word processors, a popular
shareware word processor for beginning computer users. "PC-Write and
Galaxy Pro-Lite really complement each other very well. Galaxy Pro-Lite is
an entry level product, while PC-Write has many advanced features," says
Gordon Wanner, President of Starlite. "PC-Write's fast and easy operation,
combined with its support for complex documents with detailed formatting
including graphics and columns, makes it an excellent word processor. And
particularly important for Starlite, it is an excellent upgrade for our
Galaxy users."

PC-Write has many high end word processing capabilities and has been
licensed to over fifty thousand corporations and individuals worldwide.
PC-Write has been, and will continue to be, offered as a shareware
product. PC-Write author Bob Wallace coined the term and pioneered the
concept of shareware. Shareware enables users to try software before they
pay for it, and even for users to pass around copies of their favorite
shareware program to their friends for their use. PC-Write and paying for
shareware software is by the honor system, with users anxious to register
so that they will receive printed manuals, tech support and add-on
software.

"Shareware has always been the primary means of marketing our software. We
are continually flattered that our users voluntarily send us their money
to register their software. It's a great system that gets software into a
lot of users hands, and lets them see for themselves how hot it is," said
Gordon Wanner.

PC-Write version 4.15 is priced at $69 for single users with one year of
technical support. PC-Write is also available with 30 days of getting
started assistance for $49. PC- Write, the Wizard's Kit, the Font
Selector, Yearly Support Contracts, and other related products, are
immediately available from Starlite. Existing PC-Write users can receive
technical support at a special discount. Starlite will also continue to
provide a CompuServe forum for the users of this popular software.

PC-Write was first released by Mr. Wallace's company QuickSoft in 1983. Mr.
Wallace sold Quicksoft in 1991 and continued to develop PC-Write for the
new owner. When Quicksoft went out of business in October 1993, the
PC-Write product returned to Mr. Wallace. Concerning the new sale to
Starlite, Mr. Wallace said: "Many loyal PC-Write users have called and
told me that they want to continue with PC-Write. I'm looking forward to
helping Starlite continue to serve PC-Write users, and to adding the new
features and platforms that our users want."
