Speculator - A Game Of Land Acquisition
for IBM and Compatible Computers

Speculator, a new real estate strategy game is played using maps depicting
real or imaginary land areas. Each of the five maps included is a unique
game, providing different economic models. One screen displays the entire
map as 24 horizontal and 14 vertical "tiles" with a maximum of 336
properties on a map. The human player competes against three randomly
picked computer players for limited investment opportunities. Each
computer player has its own unique strategy.

You purchase properties, start new companies, buy and sell stock, expand
companies, display company information, buy real estate blockers, read the
newspaper, view terrain information and get player information. Most games
last an average of thirty minutes.

As you acquire properties, they merge to form land holding companies. As
the land holding companies grow adjacent to each other, they will merge
with only one company remaining. The player with the most assets when the
game ends is the winner.

This starter game is fully functional with five maps and 37 screens of
on-line help. Additional map sets may be purchased. Additional map sets
include a 40 page rule book with strategy guide, reference card, the
latest version of the program, more than 20 new maps, over a dozen new
computer opponents and a unique set of properties and buildings.

Speculator was created as a joint venture between WestWorld Computer
Services and Capstone Solutions.
