VU-POINT Version 3 Release

VU-POINT 3 is the PC based program for reading and analyzing your digital
oscilloscope data. This latest release increases functionality and ease of
use while providing better graphics and more export formats.

VU-POINT is designed to process scientific and engineering data recorded on
waveform digitizers, transient recorders, data loggers and digital
oscilloscopes. VU-POINT will let you import data from a wide variety of
sources, display that data, process or modify that data, and output to
disk, plotter, or printer.

VU-POINT reads Nicolet, LeCroy, Analogic, IES, and HP oscilloscope data
files as well as a wide variety of user specified binary and ASCII
formats.

VU-POINT writes DIF, WKS, Nicolet, ASCII text and other compact binary
numerical output formats.

VU-POINT writes graphics output to a wide variety of printers, plotters,
and graphics file formats including HPGL, raster/vector EPS B&W/color
Postscript, and PCX.

Data manipulation and analysis functions include scaling, amplitude or time
shifts, baseline resetting, time base corrections, clipping,
interpolation, N-point-smoothing, low-pass, high-pass, band-pass,
band-reject filtering, transforms (ln, log, power, abs), pulse parameter
estimation (FWHM, rise and fall rates), auto- or cross- correlation,
differentiation, integration, convolution, deconvolution, and power,
amplitude, and phase spectral estimation. Pairs of data traces may be
combined numerically (add, subtract, multiply, divide), or used in
convolution, deconvolution, and correlation analysis.

Data may be fit to a variety of analytical forms including polynomial,
exponential, and power laws.

A powerful MACRO programming language allows the user to automate
repetitive processing and increase productivity.

A built in calculator operates on scalars or vectors (entire data traces)
and may be called by the MACRO programming system to further process data
traces.

VU-POINT can handle large data sets. Up to 64 million samples and 99
waveforms can be simultaneously analyzed using VU-POINT's virtual memory
manager.

New Features with VU-POINT Version 3 include:

 * SuperVGA support (800x600)
 * Full 16 color EGA/VGA/SuperVGA support
