SUMMIT FOR WINDOWS AUTHORING SYSTEM RELEASED

Conceptual Systems, Inc. has announced the release of the "Summit for
Windows" interactive multimedia authoring system. Summit for Windows
couples an icon-based visual authoring environment with the A-pex
programming language. This multi-level approach lets authors choose an
editing level that matches their experience.

In a recent independent survey of 5000 authors by SB Communications, Summit
for DOS (first released in 1986) was voted the number one MS-DOS authoring
system; systems were rated for flexibility, multimedia, productivity and
ease of use. Now, Summit for Windows adds support for the Microsoft
Windows platform. Applications created with Summit for DOS can be imported
into the Windows version, made memory resident, or played back on a
Macintosh computer.

Summit for Windows supports CD-ROM, videodisc, .FLI and .FLC animation,
digitized video, bitmapped and vector graphics, WaveAudio and CD audio, as
well as other multimedia devices. Authors create screens by dragging
object icons (Textbox, Picture, Animation, Multimedia, Button, etc.) from
the ToolSet to the visual screen editor or the icon-based flowchart.
Object attributes, such as color, font and 3-D effect, are set via
keyboard, mouse or A-pex programming. Objects can be saved in a library,
and reused elsewhere or shared with other authors.

Other Summit for Windows features include LAN support, hypertext, DDE and
OLE, global hot keys, user response judging, data collection, user
bookmark, text import/export, and a sophisticated debugger with the
ability to edit on the fly. Summit for Windows is priced at $4395. There
are no royalties and no run time fees.
