CE Software Ships QuickMail AOCE for System 7 Pro
Bundles StarNine's PowerTalk Gateway

West Des Moines, IA November 30, 1993 - CE SOFTWARE HOLDINGS, INC.
(NASDAQ/NMS Symbol:CESH) today shipped QuickMail AOCE (Apple Open
Collaborative Environment). The release of QuickMail AOCE combines the
leading Macintosh electronic mail client with, System 7 Pro, the latest
operating system release from Apple Computer, Inc.

QuickMail AOCE uses PowerTalk facilities to transparently send and receive
mail from any AOCE service provider or client - including any existing
QuickMail network. QuickMail AOCE integrates the familiar, award-winning
QuickMail interface with innovative PowerTalk I features such as the
convenience of drag and drop enclosures and the security of digital
signatures. QuickMail AOCE also harnesses the power of AppleScript to
drive other programs and respond to user-written scripts from programs
such as HyperCard and QuicKeys.

Third party extensions allow customers to mix traditional QuickMail
clients, QuickMail AOCE clients, traditional QuickMail servers and
PowerShare servers in any combination. For a limited time, CE Software
will include StarNine's PowerTalk gateway FREE with every unit of
QuickMail AOCE. This personal gateway, valued at $99, allows any QuickMail
AOCE user to access the traditional QuickMail Server and NameServer,
keeping the communication lines open with other QuickMail users on the
network. This flexibility protects the customers' existing investment in
QuickMail while exploiting the benefits of AOCE where appropriate.

QuickMail AOCE extends CE Software' s strategy of interoperating with all
common messaging transports (QuickMail MHS, support for Novell's transport
NetWare Message Handling Service, was released in June of this year). 'The
release of QuickMail MHS and
QuickMail AOCE are consistent with our commitment to meet existing customer
needs through continued support and enhancement of the QuickMail
transport, while adding functionality and openness to our mail and
messaging clients on all commercially viable, open mail transports. We are
the only company with a proprietary mail transport that actively supports
transports from network operating system companies such as Novell and
Apple," said Ford Goodman, president of the company.

QuickMail AOCE is available through CE Software's resellers and through
domestic and international distributors. A QuickMail AOCE 10 Pak retails
for $599.00 and a single user version for $99.00. QuickMail AOCE clients
require a Macintosh SE or better, 4 MB RAM minimum, and System 7 Pro.

CE Software is the world's largest Macintosh E-mail provider. With nearly
one million QuickMail users world-wide, CE is a rapidly expanding
developer of system-enhancing software and network productivity tools for
the Macintosh and Windows/DOS markets. CE is leveraging leadership
positions to develop next generation messaging and personal agent
software.
