Graphical Ready to Run Accounting Debuts Under Lotus 1-2-3 Release 4 for
Windows

DOS Version Also Enhanced with WYSIWYG Capabilities

Needham, MA. One of the country's best-selling Lotus 1-2-3 enhancement
applications - and a popular accounting program in its own right - has
received its first facelift in several years. Ready to Run Accounting,
created by Manusoft Corporation and now published by Intex Solutions, is
installed in over 30,000 small and medium sized businesses nationwide. The
fully integrated, 1-2-3-based accounting system includes general ledger,
accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory/order entry and payroll
modules, plus an optional financial analysis module. Ready to Run
Accounting version 2.2 adds compatibility with 1-2-3 Release 4 for Windows
and 1-2-3 Release 3.4 for DOS, thereby extending compatibility across the
entire Lotus 1-2-3 DOS and Windows product line. In addition, version 2.2
introduces the graphical look and feel of Windows and WYSIWYG to what had
been a character-based program. Ready to Run Accounting version 2.2 is
shipping now and is available directly from Intex Solutions and its
authorized resellers.

At the same time, Intex Solutions announces the availability of the 1994
Ready to Run Accounting Payroll Tax Disk. The updated Payroll Tax Disk
contains the latest federal and state income tax tables, along with files
to generate the revised W2 statements. The changes to the Payroll Tax Disk
were made necessary by the recently-enacted Clinton tax plan.

The Benefits of a Spreadsheet-Based Accounting System

Ready to Run Accounting has enjoyed longstanding popularity and a dedicated
following among its uses. Intex attributes the product's success to the
advantages that only a spreadsheet-based accounting system can provide.
These unique benefits, according to Jim Wilner, Vice-President of PC
Products at Intex, include "a familiar spreadsheet-like interface for ease
of use, complete access to the underlying accounting data and
user-customization capabilities." Wilner adds that "RTR is a comprehensive
accounting system with features that rival more expensive stand-alone
systems. What's more, our spreadsheet users like the sense of being 'in
control.' They can understand how the accounting entries flow by studying
the macros. And they can customize RTR to meet their own needs, giving
users a degree of flexibility that stand-alone systems simply can't
match"

RTR Goes Graphical

Ready to Run Accounting version 2.2 now takes full advantage of the GUI
features incorporated in 1-2-3 Release 4 for Windows. These features
include dialog boxes, pull-down menus, mouse compatibility and more
visually-appealing screens with larger fonts and colors. DOS users will
also benefit from a new graphical interface, since RTR is now compatible
with the WYSIWYG add-in. The graphical screen appearance is especially
useful in transaction-intensive accounting applications where improved
clarity translates directly into improved productivity and fewer errors.
