FREE Macintosh Quadras get ICONIX PowerTools into PC and UNIX-dominated
Market!

December 1, 1993 -- SANTA MONICA, California...In an unprecedented move in
the CASE industry, ICONIX Software Engineering, Inc. announced that now
thru December 31st, 1993, they are giving away a FREE Macintosh Quadra
(68040 CPU, 4MB RAM, 80MB HD, keyboard, 13" color monitor) with every
ICONIX PowerTools CASE bundle.

The strategy behind this marketing campaign is two-fold--to make ICONIX
PowerTools available to all software professionals regardless of the
platform they are currently developing with, and to penetrate a PC and
UNIX-dominated market. "We don't believe that software professionals
should allow their platform to interfere with the quality CASE tools they
really want, or be forced to spend up to three times more on the ones they
don't," states company president, Doug Rosenberg. ICONIX believes that by
actually giving away a Macintosh Quadra to run their CASE tools on,
companies can painlessly incorporate them without having to switch
development platforms--a very time consuming and expensive alternative.
"In this way, we are able to expose the PC and UNIX-dominated development
markets to unmatched capabilities not found in other more expensive and
less complete CASE tools," adds Mr. Rosenberg.

The ICONIX PowerTools offer -more complete methodology support (e.g.
Rumbaugh, Booch, Coad/Yourdon, Jacobson) -leadership in Object Technology
-Integrated Requirements Traceability (IRTx) -full lifecycle capabilities
-Language Sensitive Editors (for C++, Smalltalk, SQL, Ada and others) -an
integrated multi-user dictionary and many other benefits that only ICONIX
can provide.

ICONIX offers seven (7) environment-specific bundles to choose from and
guarantees quality technical support and assistance: PowerTools/Object for
Object-Oriented Development; PowerTools/MIS for Information Systems;
PowerTools/RT for Real-Time Systems; PowerTools/SD for Structured
Development; PowerTools/OOD an Object-Oriented Developer's Kit;
PowerTools/Ada for Ada Development; PowerTools/Ten includes the complete
product line of ten modules.

All seven bundles are System 6, System 7, and A/UX compatible on Macintosh
computers, and are compatible with Liken on Sun and HP UNIX workstations.
