Now Available for LabVIEW for Windows - Automated Image Processing and
Analysis Package

December 21, 1993 -- Austin, TX - Graftek France announced today a Windows
version of Concept V.i, an image analysis add-on package for the LabVIEW
graphical instrumentation software from National Instruments (Austin, TX).
Concept V.i, available on the Macintosh since 1990, is derived from
Graftek's stand-alone imagery software, Ultimage. Concept V.i is a family
of image processing and analysis libraries that works with the graphical
programming capabilities in LabVIEW to acquire, process, and manipulate
images and signals, which in turn can be used to control machines,
generate reports, and export data. Graftek is a member of the National
Instruments Alliance Program and sells in the U.S. through two (East and
West Coast) distributors.

Concept V.i is used worldwide for a diverse range of image analysis and
machine vision applications, including automated testing, medical imagery,
material sciences, microscopy imaging, and military testing. Concept V.i
includes over 400 functions for image memory management, image
acquisition, detection and control of user interaction in up to 16 image
windows, linear and nonlinear filters, object detection, shape
measurements, morphological transformations, and frequency processing.

Thanks to the object-oriented programming methodology and hierarchical
structure of LabVIEW, scientists and engineers can use Concept V.i to
quickly create and modify custom virtual instruments (VIs). Users can
combine the standard VIs to create sophisticated applications. Recent
examples include Gel Analyzer and In Situ Analyzer. These applications
were written for the biomedical field in order to automatically interpret,
classify, and quantify macromolecules found in living cells, such as
proteins and DNA.
