EveryWare's Butler Offers Ideal Database Support for SoftArc's FirstClass
Communication System

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario--December 17, 1993--Concurrent with SoftArc's
FirstClass 2.5 release, EveryWare Development Corp. will be releasing
database applications and tools designed to augment FirstClass
communication systems.

The first of these applications is 411 for FirstClass which will allow
FirstClass users to perform search and retrieval operations on a database
that contains standard contact information such as name, address, and
telephone numbers. The product will ship with an administration
application that will allow the FirstClass system administrator to import,
export, add, delete and update information in the database. 411 for
FirstClass ships with a special version of EveryWare's Butler SQL Database
Server.

411 for FirstClass will be sold by SoftArc, and can be ordered by calling
SoftArc's toll free order number (1 -800-364-1923). At $395 U.S., 411 for
FirstClass is an easy and cost effective way of adding a powerful database
solution to FirstClass communications systems. FirstClass hobbyists will
be able to purchase 411 for FirstClass for $195 U.S.

Butler is a multi-user DAL/SQL client-server relational database management
system that runs on the Macintosh. FirstClass is one of many front ends
that can easily communicate with Butler.

To simplify the process of creating custom FirstClass/Butler solutions,
EveryWare will be offering the source code to 411 for FirstClass for $99
U.S. to anyone who owns or buys the regular network version of Butler.
With EveryWare's sample source code, programmers can create standard
database retrieval applications for FirstClass in a matter of hours.

"By utilizing Butler as the back-end database for our FirstClass system, we
were able to offer our users online searching of TVOntario's extensive
video catalogue. This allows educational users to perform complex searches
for video tapes matching criteria such as title, duration, and
availability. We will soon be extending the searching capabilities to
include subject matter, curriculum, and audience level," said Don Presant
of The OnLine Group at TVOntario--Ontario's public broadcasting
organization.

In the very near future, EveryWare will be releasing more developer tools
aimed at simplifying the development of custom FirstClass/Butler solutions
such as:

* classified and personals for online newspapers
* contact management systems
* multiple-list real estate services
* order processing and registration systems
* music and video catalogues
* pricing and inventory systems

One such tool will allow FirstClass administrators to create custom
database solutions without having to do any programming whatsoever.

The Butler DAL/SQL Server and Butler/FirstClass development tools may be
purchased directly from EveryWare Development Corp.
