ONE DUNGEON? WE DON'T THINK SO - WHEN WE SAY REPLAYABLE WE MEAN OVER 4
BILLION DUNGEONS IN ONE GAME.

DUNGEON HACK

Game Category: Fantasy Adventure Roleplaying
Versions: IBM PC (November 1993) - $60.00
IBM CD-ROM (December 1993) -$60.00

Sunnyvale, CA -- November 11,1993 -- Industry-leading fantasy game
publisher Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI) today announced the release of
AD&D, Forgotten Realms: Dungeon Hack. With the release of this role
playing adventure game, SSI has added a new twist in AD&D gaming. Dungeon
Hack is available now for IBM and compatibles with a suggested retail
price of $60.00.

The fantasy begins with an enchantress sending a chosen character on a
quest to fetch a magical orb of great power. It is up to the player to
choose a character or create one from the vast amount of character
attributes and portraits. This character will then enter the dungeons and
retrieve the orb. As a reward, the treasures acquired along the way will
be his to keep.

In Dungeon Hack players explore massive and sinister dungeons and destroy
evil overlords lurking in their depths. With the randomized dungeon
generator, getting through the adventure and defeating the overlord
changes every time. The randomized dungeon generator creates every game
differently by randomly configuring mazes, monsters, puzzles, items and
spells. Over 4 billion different dungeons can be created. No two need ever
be the same. "The replayability of this game is incredible," said David
Lucca, Associate Producer at SSI. "With the dungeon generator, there are
limitless hours of entertainment."

Players can choose the number of dungeon levels, the difficulty of
monsters, traps and puzzles, and if they want to truly challenge
themselves, character death real. With the use of a code number (dungeon
seed), players can explore the same dungeons with different characters or
they can challenge their friends to survive the dungeons they have
completed. There is also printable auto mapping with an onscreen mini-map
that expands to full screen along with a streamlined adventure screen to
keep all the action at their fingertips.

"Dungeon Hack is a truly absorbing game with fierce real-time combat and
intriguing puzzles," stated Jim Namestka, President of DreamForge
Intertainment, Inc. (formerly Event Horizon Software) "It's the kind of
game you can quickly get into and is difficult to stop playing."

Dungeon Hack was developed by DreamForge Intertainment, Inc. one of the
industry's most respected fantasy role-playing developers. Previously,
DreamForge has developed Veil of Darkness and The Summoning for SSI. When
asked what was most intriguing about this project, Jim Namestka of
DreamForge stated "Dungeon Hack was conceived with the original Hack and
Rogue (Epyx) computer games in mind. Because of this, Dungeon Hack will be
as addicting as these classics were in their time."

Strategic Simulations, Inc. is one of the leading computer fantasy
role-playing publishers and is most noted for its ADVANCED DUNGEONS &
