INTRODUCTION
============

The Resource Kit is a tool for developers and end users that answers
frequently asked questions about FoxPro for Windows. The Resource Kit
provides tips on the following topics:

   Troubleshooting                  Language (including code samples)
   Performing a "clean boot"        Printing
   Installation                     Networking
   Configuring FoxPro for Windows   Debugging
   Screen Builder                   Distribution Kit
   Report Writer                    Connectivity Kit
   RQBE/SQL                         Library Construction Kit

In addition, the "References" section of the Resource Kit provides a
partial index of the FoxPro articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base,
which you can access through CompuServe(R) by typing GO MSKB at the
"!" prompt or through the Internet by typing FTP FTP.MICROSOFT.COM at
the ">" command prompt to log on to the Microsoft anonymous ftp
server.

To install the Resource Kit
---------------------------

1. Create a directory called RESKIT on your hard disk.

2. Copy RK.EXE from from the CompuServe Library 3, FP Win-Platform to the RESKIT 
   directory you just created.

4. RK.EXE is a self-extracting archive file. To unzip it, type RK at
   the MS-DOS command prompt.

   You should see the following files:

      CHAPT1.RTF     CHAPT6.RTF     CHAPTA.RTF     CHAPTE.RTF
      CHAPT2.RTF     CHAPT7.RTF     CHAPTB.RTF     CHAPTF.RTF
      CHAPT3.RTF     CHAPT8.RTF     CHAPTC.RTF     CHAPTG.RTF
      CHAPT4.RTF     CHAPT9.RTF     CHAPTD.RTF     COVERPG.RTF
      CHAPT5.RTF                                   

The files are in rich-text format (RTF), which means they can be
opened in Microsoft Word for Windows or in any other word processor
that can interpret RTF.
