    The wording of note is B 8.  Used to say that officer notification
    was mandatory.  But when they required the gun to be in a locked
    box, they dropped that requirement.  Originally the bill would allow
    a loaded, concealed handgun anywhere in the vehicle without a
    permit. But it got very watered down.
