Guacamole MySQL backend auth

Hello all,

I am trying for the past days to get mysql backend support for mysql
working.

I installed a fresh vm (rocky8), installed tomcat (version 9 bundled
with rocky), guacd (it works connecting - tried with  the user-auth
method) but for the love of what is holy i cannot get it to work with
mysql (yes the db is working properly and i can connect remotely to
it).

However i keep getting an error message on the webui stating that the
task could not be completed.
I tried to enable the logback function in the webapp, but there are no
logs being presented.
The configuration is correct in guacamole.properties and the
extensions are there, in the appropriate directory - the mysql
connector and the plugin for this version of guacamole

At present i have no further ideas.... What am i missing? Has anyone
got this to work without docker?
