Own Media Server with Netflix/Amazon Proxy reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- palukku · 2023-12-31 05:55 My plan is a all in one solution for me and my family for using a media server which has the ability to stream custom videos but also enable access to series/movies from amazon prime or netflix (depending on which site it is available for free and ideal would be if it would stream those via a proxy or download it and than stream it from the media server). Does someone know a solution to realize that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lesigh · 2023-12-31 06:28 That's not a thing. Most people here setup a Plex server with *arr services in conjunction with Usenet/torrent sources ---------------------------------------------------------------------- user3872465 · 2023-12-31 15:26 It is a thing I belive Syncler can do that for you. At least it advertizes syncing play status between devices for different services. Probably works with seflhostd stuff aswell. One app to rule them all ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ObiWanCanOweMe · 2023-12-31 21:31 This might work for you: https://support.plex.tv/articles/discover/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- palukku · 2023-12-31 21:36 It sounds good for searching but "For most platforms, when you select a non-Plex streaming service that’s available, you’ll be taken to the app you already have installed for that corresponding service." That's not what i want, i don't want to use the official apps, maybe i can find a way to download the movie when selecting it there instead of opening the app ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ObiWanCanOweMe · 2023-12-31 21:39 Yeah, otherwise Radarr/Sonarr+SABnzbd is going to be the best solution. Which is what I’ve been using for over a decade now and it works great.
