Docker Options for Documenting Various Home Projects reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- captain_nosferatu · 2023-12-30 16:55 Does anyone have a good recommendation for keeping track of projects you may be building, coding, or designing? I find myself with a lot of projects like a small Pi-based jukebox, home assistant integrations, tweaking my UnRAID installation etc. It would be great if for each one I could have a date/time based entry of what I’ve done and how I’ve done it with options for photos, websites, and code snippets. Like I just upgraded my server’s CPU and I’ve love to document what it is now with photos of its serial number and other notes as well as some problems I had to solve after the swap. Then when I come back to the project a year later it’s a bit easier to pick up where I left off. It would be great if it was accessible both from desktop and iOS. I have Vikunja installed but mainly use it as a to-do list. I’ve seen bookstack as well but haven’t dived into it much yet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lemimouth · 2023-12-30 19:50 Take a look at Joplin, a note taking app you can self-host ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ufulu · 2023-12-30 20:26 I use mkdocs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- krawhitham · 2023-12-31 01:49 https://github.com/BookStackApp/BookStack
