Manage Music Library reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BronzeMaster5000 · 2023-12-30 14:07 So i want to selfhost music propably with Plexamp (im open to alternatives). The problem comes with managing the music library. I really like the recommendations from spotify and i like a lot of songs that are youtube only. My dream scenario would be to have one or multiple pieces of software working together that can take my spotify and youtube playlist in which i add music that i like and download the songs periodically. Then it also manages the metadata and adds lyrics to the songs when possible before adding them to my NAS. Ideally it would check for duplicates because sometimes i add the same song twice in spotify (different albums - kinda annoying). Does anyone have an idea how i could accomplish this task the best way. I plan to run this on my raspberry pi 4. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zkvvoob · 2023-12-30 15:16 Is Lidarr, perhaps, what you meed: https://lidarr.audio? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BronzeMaster5000 · 2023-12-30 15:24 I thought about it since i also use Sonarr and Radarr but i dont think there is a way for youtube and spotify playlist to be downloaded from Lidarr. Otherwise i would have to search for thousands of songs manually. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CrispyBegs · 2023-12-30 16:25 you can add spotify playlist(s) in the 'Lists' tab. it works fine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Old_Bug4395 · 2023-12-30 20:09 Lidarr is an option but it's pretty bad at actually grabbing the music you tell it to. I just manually grab music I like because there's not really a great tool for automatically doing it for me. I wrote my own tool to organize my music library also. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Darkchamber292 · 2023-12-30 22:17 You want lidarr-on-steroids. You don't need torrents or trackers. It has Deemix built in and it downloads from Deezer and can take Spotify and YouTube playlists. You can even find Deezer premium account ARLs to plug in and get FLAC audio Total game changer.
