Mpd playback on iOS?

All the apps I've seen for MPD for iOS only support controlling of the
MPD server. However, I'm looking for the ability to play music on my
iPhone and to download tracks if needed for offline listening. Does
something like this exist?

The only app I know of that will do this is
[Rigelian](https://www.rigelian.net/).  It's a nice app, but most of
its features require a monthly subscription.

I don't know if any client can download but there are some clients.

Not a mpd client but this is how I did it:
I run navidrome pointed to my music share - the same that mpd uses.
On iOS I use substreamer as client to navidrome.
