Connecting to server behind reverse proxy through app reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CWh1988 ยท 2023-12-29 13:24 So I'm running a Komga server for my comics, and enabled remote access via a domain name at duckdns, with caddy handling a reverse proxy from said domain to my Komga server. And this works flawlessly when accessing the server through a web browser using the duckdns url that I set up. On my android device, I read my comics through CDisplayEx, which natively supports Komga as a library source. My issue is the following: if I try to connect to my server through CDisplayEx using the "reverse proxied" url, it won't work. Whether I let it go through port 80 or 443, SSL or no SSL, it simply refuses to connect and throws a "synchronization failed" error. It does connect fine if I specify the ACTUAL port my server is running on, in combination with the duckdns url, though, so I know the app can handle the connection through this domain just fine. But, of course, right now that actual port is open, and I'd like to close it for security reasons, so it is only accessible through the reverse proxied url. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, they will get a cookie
