Looking for a gallery app with looping video playback

Asking since a couldn't find a satisfactory answer anywhere.

What I'm looking for is a android gallery app (or maybe a web app if
it works well) that's not just focused on images, but also had good
support for video playback with (per-video) looping as an option
(either by default or some in-app setting or via config file), since
short-form video playback is annoying without a loop.

Now I guess there are a few that can do this, like vlc player and Cx
file explorer (?), but those are either slow when loading
next/previous file, reset the loop setting for each video, or simply
don't allow showing the videos in a gallery like way, forcing you to
exit and manually open the next file, instead of just swiping next or
hitting a button.

I'm not interested in any tagging, face recognition or other advanced
features.

with added SMB share access.

Anyone of you got any idea?
