Cloudflare, NGINX, 526 Error

I've been following the Cloudflare & NGINX tutorial
[here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6Y6M8CdcQ0) and I've gotten as
far as uploading the custom certificates, but when I try to access the
site through NGINX I keep getting a 526 error, or a redirect to my
root domain. I'm not even sure what to troubleshoot at this point! Any
help would be awesome!

did you start with googling something like "cloudflare 526 error"
and/or "nginx 526 error"??

i see some cloudflare community forum & reddit threads about the error
in the search results
