GRE tunnel for attacks prevention

I have a game server running at my home, currently using X4B Anycast
as GRE tunnel to my home server, however several players are
encountering high latency, meanwhile others are unable to access
server at all… Support wasnt helpful at all.

Is anyone else using GRE tunnels for protecting their home servers
against attacks? What GRE tunnel provider are you using? (Best within
100$ per month)

Can you eliminate host problems from consideration? Is your game
server, network stack, or host spiking when these outages/degradations
occur? Can you test the access from the user's perspective to see
their alleged latency?

Setup a VPS with VXLAN and tunnel back to your server?
