My main requirements were to add games to the tracker, marking them as owned or wishlisted while also being able to see the game's addons, which themselves can be marked as owned or wishlisted. The UI needs a lot of work and I still don't have a name for the web app. The web app is built on React, Node and SQLite. IGDB is used to fetch game data and everything is stored locally for faster access. **Please suggest a cool name for the web app.** If this is something the community is interested in, I can push all the code to GitHub and I would welcome contributions to help make the web app look better, add more features and even optimize the code. When working on this web app, I faced numerous issues with video game metadata. Although my idea of a wishlist is for me to mark those games I want to buy in future. For example, I haven't bought Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as it's too expensive but I've marked it so that when I go through the list I know what I need to buy next or glance at how many games I still want to buy. On another note, I am planning to add a feature to manually add games which may not be available on IGDB but with a feature to resync the game from IGDB if it ever gets added. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- foefyre · 2023-12-26 18:53 Can you add the ability to add games by barcode? I'm not sure if IGDB has barcode support but I can try adding it myself. And there is already a way to select which consoles you own a game on. Multiple selections are possible. I'll add these to the list of features requests. My first steps are to push the code to GitHub, fix all the UI issues, get basic sorting and filtering working, add a consoles section, ability to add games manually and bulk import games via a CSV. It has things like Steam integration, support for every console along with designating stuff as physical/digital and by what storefront, completion status, condition, pack-ins, automatic physical copy valuation, etc. Don't think it does integration with wishlists or deal sites, so that could be a good value add. I'm not aware of a self-hosted solution, though, so this could be fun once it gets up to feature parity. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wwwescape · 2023-12-27 09:05 I already use Completionator but I was looking for a self-hosted option. I'm using Completionator as the inspiration for my web app (which still doesn't have a name yet) which will have the basics you would need to track your collection. I want a better UI too that's more visually appealing. Other features like integrations with Steam, [HowLongToBeat.com](https://HowLongToBeat.com) and others will come but once all the basic features work and are stable. Completionator works, but definitely can have feature improvements. And as you said, self hosting would be pretty cool, too.
