An editor, plus the ability to develop and visualize code (Python, JavaScript, etc.). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- greenMind420 · 2023-12-25 04:07 Hi, I've been working on a replit replacement for myself since the recently announced 'updates' to the service a couple months back, in planning for migrating a couple of projects that i've got running there. I'm fairly pleased with [code-server](https://github.com/coder/code- server) which is a straightforward remote vscode implementation. It's fairly lightweight, with the minimum specs being 1GB RAM & 2vCPUs. It's running like a champ on a free Oracle ARM instance (a 24GB RAM ARM VM). Pair that with the free VS Code extension [codium](http://codium.ai) and/or GitHub Copilot and you've got a pretty solid AI 'partner' that I actually prefer to ghostwriter. It lacks some of the features & polish of replit, and you're on your own when it comes to secrets & package management for your projects, but that said, it's been solid and available. Considering last week's mega secrets debacle, the old fashioned \`.env\` file actually seems like a plus! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Old_Bug4395 · 2023-12-25 13:37 I think you can self-host vscode's remote development solution ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AhmedBarayez · 2023-12-26 18:03 vscode is your answer
