Spotify alternative for iPhone reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Firm_Newspaper3370 · 2023-12-23 19:24 I’m a longtime Spotify user, I really don’t have any complaints except for one. I want to be able to choose or create the shuffle algorithm used. I have some very long playlists, and in those playlists I feel like I hear the same 50 or so songs over and over. I want a shuffle that will play every song once before repeating a song. I’m sure this is not a desired enough feature to be on any mainstream music platform. But seeing as I’m already self hosting a bunch of services, I’m sure there is one that allows plugins. I need it to work on iOS and CarPlay. And either have a shuffle algorithm like that implemented, or a framework for creating plugins. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- devilsproud666 · 2023-12-23 21:44 Apple Music? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Squeed_Lol · 2023-12-23 22:53 try manet music i dont think it has carplay yet tho ---------------------------------------------------------------------- byttle · 2023-12-24 04:06 PlexAmp has some integration with chatgpt now. Haven’t used it myself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UltimatePike · 2023-12-24 16:59 YouTube music work well in carplay ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ProgrammerPlus · 2023-12-25 05:11 I use Spotify extensively and have large playlists and the shuffle is perfectly fine. Either your are doing something wrong or just assuming that only few songs are being repeated ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kmisterk · 2023-12-25 23:27 ## Post Removed Hey, Firm_Newspaper3370!
